During our shelter-in-place over the past few weeks and the coming weeks ahead, a lot has been turned upside down!
I was about to launch Paxton Avery & Co. - a dream of opening an online women's clothing boutique that I have been wanting to do since I was a freshman in college. But the world began to hunker down with the beginning fight of COVID-19. With the postponement of launch dates and inventory, I, like others, began to become used to the full-time shelter in place and the uneasy of worry of my small business.
With the days merging into one another, I began to realize I was living in all my comfy wear that contained leggings with oversized sweatshirts and shirts. So it was then that I thought of an idea. My online store may be postponed until the end of April, but why not start something now that everyone can wear!?
So here you are with a wide variety of styles, colors, and sizes to choose from to add to your loungewear collection.
Why #galchat?
Simply put, I would not be as cool, calm, and collected without my friends & family. Don't get me wrong - I had my (and still do) moments of emotional meltdowns. But with their (long distant) words of encouragement, I really don't know how I would be right now. And the best part is - my guy friends are part of gal chat too! (I can see them shrugging their shoulders now). 🤷♂️
All in all - I hope everyone has a "gal chat" of their own to talk to, to get them through this super confusing and sometimes scary time. With every order, you are not only helping a small business owner, but I'll be donating 10% from each order to The Black Lives Matter Global Fund.
